Hello Everyone,

Last Week: We heard from Adrienne DeBlieux Speed, Vice President of Information Technology at Pittsfield Cooperative Bank.  Adrienne gave us a primer on cyber security and alerted us to social engineering red flags.

Truck Day:  Is coming May 22nd!   Scratch ticket raffle tickets are available for sale.  Please see Mary White or Tony Blair to get your tickets for sale.  Tickets are $5 a piece or 5 for $20.

Silent Auction:  As with last year’s Truck Day, we will be having a Silent Auction.  If you have any ideas on items that could be donated to the Auction, we would appreciate it.  Items that are family-friendly are well received.  As examples, we have received a child’s birthday party from Berkshire South, and a week of camp from Camp Hi-Rock.  We are working on solicitations for the other camps in the area and tickets to Play Bousquet and the Ariel Adventure Park at Catamount.  If you have any other ideas, please me know.  Thank you!

Golf Solicitations:  Please continue your efforts on the solicitations for the Golf Tournament.

Boy Scout Dinner:  The Boy Scout Spaghetti Dinner will be held Thursday, April 28th at St. Peter’s Parish Center.  I had incorrectly reported the location as the First Congregational Church.  Steve Agar has tickets available to be sold.  It is not mandatory that you sell these tickets, but it would be greatly appreciated if all Rotarians would consider purchasing two tickets for the dinner.  Some man/woman power will be needed for the dinner.  More information will be forthcoming for ways in which you can help that evening.

And from the Rotary Foundation:

HUMANITARIAN GRANT OPTIONS As mentioned in a different week there are grants for many things including humanitarian projects such as:  (1)  District Grants to help Rotary districts support short-term or long term humanitarian projects (they also support non-humanitarian projects like scholarships, exchange teams and more) (2)  Global Grants to support international service projects involving Rotary Clubs or Districts in two or more countries; which fund long-term, sustainable, measurable grassroots development projects in one of The Rotary Foundation’s six areas of focus.

YOU CAN BE A PART OF ACCESSING THESE GRANTS FOR WORTHY PROJECTS!
