Rotary Club of Great Barrington

November 2nd, 2016 Bulletin

Last Week: Jan Johnson from Mill River Farm spoke about organic farming. Jan really knows a lot about how to take care of the land and produce great food. We all received an organic chicken. I look forward to buying my Thanksgiving Turkey from The Mill River Farm.

This Week’s Program: Amanda Timberlake from Railroad Street Youth Project will speak about our local drug problems.

Girl Scout Pancake Breakfast: Please join us on November 20th and help raise funds for the Girl Scouts. You can help at Berkshire south by taking a shift between 7:00am to 12:00pm. Janet Dohoney is organizing the Pancake Breakfast.  Please contact her with any questions at janet.dohoney@gmail.com. Please remember to sell all your tickets or buy them and invite your friends and family.

Holiday Decorations: The wreaths will be installed on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at 1:00pm.  There will be at least four teams to install the wreaths.  Two teams on each side of Main Street.  The captains of those teams are: Peter Dillon, Kim Kimball, Jim Mercer and John Benedict. If you can help and join one of the teams, please contact Peter Dillon or John Benedict. Family and friends are welcome to join us. Maybe you can offer to buy your friends a pancake breakfast if they are willing to help decorate. :-) Sounds like a fun day!

We will also need a crew on Monday November 21st at 6:00pm to put lights on the trees. Steve Agar with Wayne Dolby will be in charge of installing the lights. If you can help please see Steve Agar or Ed McCormick.
